Mauser + Co. GmbH was founded in 1925, specialising primarily in forging and repair work for the agricultural sector. Nowadays, the core focus is on sheet metal processing. The old site was longer able to meet the needs of a high-tech and sustainable factory. An interdisciplinary team of experts from MPS ARCHONIC was commissioned to make a holistic evaluation of the site's potential. 

Implementation and challenge

1. Analysis. The team of experts evaluated the building structures and the capacity utilisation of the production and logistics processes. Given the results, it was decided that a sustainable extension of the current site was not feasible and that a new plant should therefore be planned and executed with the support of MPS ARCHONIC. 

2. Concept. In the concept phase, a layout to optimise material flows was designed based on the growth scenario and spaces were dimensioned to accommodate future expansion. 

3. Detailed planning. We created an equipment layout for the architects to design a functional and aesthetic building. Close coordination within the interdisciplinary planning team from the outset enabled an efficient and robust planning phase. 

4. Execution. Our team provided construction project management services during execution and support during start-up and ramp-up.
